I know, I know, I am a day late with that greeting. Not surprising, however. What is surprising is how into St. Patrick's Day my boys got this year. On Saturday, I convinced my husband to take the boys to the parade. It was a short parade but the boys loved it. There were firetrucks and Irish dancers and, of course, candy. After the parade there was an event sponsored by Eagle Mount of Helena called Dash to the End of the Rainbow for the kids. What it was was a fun run down the walking mall to the library, so we decided to do that. Q and R. L. took off running and we followed behind them. C was tired and so DH was carrying him and I was walking behind too. We kept the boys in sight the entire time and as soon as R. L. reached the pot of gold and dropped his coin in, he came back looking for us and Q just waited for us to find him. Then we let them play at the playground by the library. The boys were having a blast. We then went grocery shopping, which doesn't sound like fun, but it was nice to get out of the house all day. So the boys were really looking forward to St. Patty's day. DH made corned beef for dinner and everything, too.
Also yesterday makes 12 years since DH and I started dating and we are sappy and do celebrate it but because of St. Patrick's Day activities (mostly DH wanted to make corned beef) we didn't go out yesterday. We are going out, probably, Friday. Tonight I have to fast after 7:30 or 8:00 p.m. for my glucose tolerance test tomorrow and Thursday there was a Relief Society activity at church I wanted to go to, so Friday is the next best choice. Saturday is his birthday, so we don't want to combine the two celebrations (or maybe we might). Well anyway that is my week. Hope everyone had a good St. Patrick's Day and will have a good Spring!
