I hope you all had a safe and fun 4th.
We had a busy 3 day weekend.
Saturday- after I got off work we went swimming. It was D's first time at a pool, although he plays in our make shift pool (empty turtle sandbox filled with water) at home. It took a bit for him to be comfortable in the water but then he played and walked around. It was fun. The older 3 had a blast and so did daddy. After the pool we had dinner and kept everyone up for the Stadium of Fire fireworks. We found a parking lot where others were parked and watching them and watched from there. Next year we need to find a place to watch without extra light.
Sunday- No scheduled city activities but we lit off some of our own after having a dinner of chicken, corn, watermelon, and Apple pie.
Monday- We started the day with the Provo city Grand Parade. Hubby was upset over the crowds and lack of courteous people. I enjoyed the parade. The favorite float was a How To Train Your Dragon float. Q thought the parade was too long.
After the parade we went home for a bit and let D take a nap. Then we went to the Freedom Days and visited the boy scout village where the activities were free. The boys spent time in the bounce houses and dug for buried treasure (they got to trade in treasure for a sucker). There was a booth were you had to use a hand saw that needed 2 people to use to saw off a circle of wood that they then for to brand. R L and I did one and then DH and Q did one for each of them. Q got a soccer ball painted on his face and C got his hair spiked.
So we had a busy 3 day weekend.
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
