Style: Epitaph (http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/epitaph.html)
I know that this style is kind of morbid, but it was next in line. Here is what I came up with:
Here I stood, once very dressy
The cow I made fussy.
Now I lay in a great big messy
So don't underestimate Bessie
Here lies Sammy, my baby girl
Twelve years she spent in this world
She jumped into my arms that around her I'd curl
Now rest in peace, baby girl.
In memory of Sammy Shadow Levengood (1990-2002)
Too quickly she passed through our lives
Youthful exuberance we always saw in her eyes
Now a part of our heart here dies
Since a perpetual pup she now lies.
In memory of Tryangle Bay Levengood (2006-2007)
A piece of my heart is with you,
But to me you could not remain true,
Fond memories I have of you,
But I found someone new.
In memory of my relationship with T.B.
I will try to find pictures of the beloved pets whose epitaphs I wrote and post them sometime, hopefully, in the near future.
