Day 11 - 30 Day Writing Challenge

Imitation is Suicide. Insist on yourself; never imitate. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Write down in which areas of your life you have to overcome these suicidal tendencies of imitation, and how you can transform them into a newborn you – one that doesn’t hide its uniqueness, but thrives on it. There is a “divine idea which each of us represents” – which is yours?
(Author: Fabian Kruse)
I don't know where I imitate, I would have to have someone else examine my life and point out where I might be imitating. However I do have a side of myself that I want to have be "born" and that is my creativity. I can sense its presence but I have not yet figured out a way to tap into it and bring it to my consciousness. I like to create and to write but I fear I do not have the gift. Maybe I can't tap into it because it isn't truly there? I am still waiting to figure out what the "divine idea" I represent it.
