One Strong Belief - Day 3 (June 2)

It is easy in the world to live after the world’s opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude. - Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance
The world is powered by passionate people, powerful ideas, and fearless action. What’s one strong belief you possess that isn’t shared by your closest friends or family? What inspires this belief, and what have you done to actively live it?
(Author: Buster Benson)

I actually don't think there is any strong belief that I possess that isn't shared by my family. As for one that isn't necessarily shared by my closest friends is that I have drawn closer to my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and while most of my friends understand the church they don't follow the same doctrines that I do.

The inspiration behind this belief is my family. I have felt myself draw closer to my family as I have drawn closer to the church and to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I try to actively live this belief daily by following the church standards in my words and actions. I also choose to attend the temple frequently, pay tithing, go to church meetings, and live the gospel standards. I am far from perfect but I am trying to better myself.

In reference to Day 2's challenge at the end of each subsequent day's post I will post "Today's sentence".

Today's Sentence: Expect the unexpected.
